Beyond Building: Green Line & Urban Mining
With “Beyond Building”, the newly founded Department of Disruptive Disciplines has launched an exclusive series of events at the Tabakfabrik as an experimentation and networking platform between real estate development, urban development, technology, digitalization and society. On June 18 on the topic: “Green Line and Urban Mining”.
Life cycle assessment, green building, life cycle costs, social and ecological sustainability, optimized construction site logistics and all this with the greatest possible user comfort – DELTA’s Green Line follows the cradle-to-cradle principle in its projects. With digital tools, new opportunities but also challenges arise here to implement these demands on modern construction. As is well known, planning is the first step. This is one of the elementary parts of a functioning circular economy: “If you look at the development cycle of a property, the first phase has the greatest impact on the later direction and use. This is where we need to set the bar high for sustainability and use digital tools to be able to evaluate future buildings. Depending on the type of construction, the Co2 footprint is of course different,” adds Wolfgang Kradischnig, Managing Director of DELTA.
Bon Voyage au Grand Garage
Europe’s largest 5G Makerspace does not need many words. Werner Arrich therefore invited to a digital walk via video followed by a real walk. Digitization to touch and build yourself.
